The Biblical view on Homosexuality and Gay Marriage (Redefinition of Marriage), What is First Plumbline Apologetics take on this?

In recent years there has been much controversy surrounding this issue there are clear arguments for and against the practice of homosexuality, from what I had witnessed has been a growing hostility towards those who do vocally disapprove of the homosexual lifestyle and public conduct.

What I want to point out is homosexuality as a practice is not the only sin, as the bible classis this as fornication, what makes the issue unique in Biblical Christianity is that the practice and conduct is clearly outlined in the Bible as an abomination Leviticus 18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

The bible shows us in other areas where it was serious with God more so that Sodom and Gomorrah was judged because they grew exceedingly wicked as we see in this generation we see it is more serious with God as Jesus said Matthew 11:24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for thee, reiterating what Jeremiah was saying Jeremiah 23:14 And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible: They commit adultery and live a lie. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that not one of them turns from their wickedness. They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah." The reason for this was these people sin knowingly and well aware of this historically.

We see other examples in Both Old and New Testaments, the Biblical response is that the sexual conduct in humanity was only limited to one man and one woman in the Book of Genesis we read that God saw it was not good that man should be alone so much he caused Adam to sleep and took his rib and created woman Genesis 2:21 the whole point was not that it was love that makes a marriage but god created marriage for the intent of pro-creation, Genesis 9:7 in this it was God who created marriage for this reason, God confirms this in Matthew 19:1-9.

The New Testament outright rejects the idea that God shows tolerance to sinful practices in 1 Cor. 6:9-10 is very  explicate on the issue Know ye not that the unrighteous kshall not inherit the kingdom of God? lBe not deceived: kneither mnofornicators, nor oidolaters, nor nadulterers, nor effeminate, nor mpabusers of themselves with mankind, 10 kNor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

The words effeminate and abusers of themselves are used, this reflects on Hebrews 13:4 yLet marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge zthe sexually immoral and adulterous.

The Greek word for effeminate is malakos, this is defined as
1) soft, soft to the touch
2) metaph. in a bad sense
a) effeminate
1) of a catamite
2) of a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man
3) of a male who submits his body to unnatural lewdness
4) of a male prostitute

But the terms abusers of themselves with mankind is arsenokoitēs Thayers Lexicon stipulates:

1) one who lies with a male as with a female, sodomite, homosexual

This is also referenced in
1Ti 1:10

For whoremongers, for them that (arsenokoitēs) defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

What those who either practice or support the practice of homosexuality need to understand is that no amount of sinful conduct is tolerated in the eyes of God because we have all sinned we are all in need of a saviour this is why Jesus the Son of God was sent into the world to offer us salvation and reconciliation John 3:16; 1 John 2:2

We do not approve with such methods that groups who use the name of Christ to target one area of people saying God hates homosexuals is incorrect God categorically hates all who work iniquity, psalm 5:5 because God is holy and his holiness cannot reflect nor accept anything that is impure and unholy God also shows mercy that he has not executed his wrath and is patient to wait for our sakes, as he gives all men the opportunity to repent and inherit his love upon only if he/she receives the blood of Christ through having faith in his death and resurrection.

Before God can accept anyone in to his kingdom, he has to show us that there is no one that practices sin’s such as homosexuality, drunkenness, adultery and so on, that he will accept on Judgement day as shown in John chpt 5, in this he also shows us his mercy, that if we have faith in Christ, we have been justified through faith alone and by his holy spirit, 1 Cor. 6:11

As those who cannot because of this accept any redefinition of marriage, because the Bible is fundamental to a faith of the believer, we are required to comply with Gods law, if that means we lose our jobs, end up in jail or become the scourge of the earth we take great courage that God always gives us the strength to go through such persecutions.

The big Question where does the Bible define that Marriage is only acceptable between one man and one woman?

The Bible does teaches 1 Cor. 7:2 Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

This bible is very specific in this area, as it is to avoid fornication, Corinthians 7:2-3 says: "But because of immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband fulfill his duty to his wife, and likewise also the wife to her husband."

This is why Marriage is a sacred right to be accepted by all as the only view and there is no alternative as far as God is concerned.

As Christians we have no option but to resist and refuse to accept any one’s comments who refuses to accept Gods word on this matter Eph. 5:22-33 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Romans 1:32 says we are not allowed to approve or participate of such sins and in this we are not to accept what man says concerning what marriage is or is not.

Teaching our Children ?????

In principle and practice God wants us to teach our children what God thinks rather then what our own views tell us, Proverbs 22:6.

In Deuteronomy 6:6-7 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

This is based on the principles set in Psalm 1 this teaches us about our own attitudes towards God, God wants us to teach children how to live for him and his ways there are many people today who hate Gods word Psalm 2:1 – 7 says 1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? 2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, 3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. 4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. 5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. 6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. 7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.,

Rather than fear God and teach children to live in his ways they are bringing a whole generation of Children in to rebellion against God, Psalm 9:17 shows us where this will lead us, The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

We are also warned in other scriptures, Job 8:13 Such is the destiny of all who forget God; so perishes the hope of the godless., Psalm 50:22 "Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you.

The hardness of men’s hearts have grown and this is what God had said, Matt 24:9 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  12 And because iniquity shall abound, the LOVE OF MANY SHALL WAX COLD.

People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power. [2 Timothy 3:2-5]

For this reason, Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them. - Romans 1:28-32
But there is hope, 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We must be ever diligent not to fall into the world trap of trying to undermine what God has said by downgrading his standards, Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

As such the explanations of the world can never be acceptable to any true believer simply because Colossians 2:20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, 1 Corinthians 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

James 3:15 Such "wisdom" does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.

Conclusion

Redefining marriage is not built upon the wisdom of God but it is the wisdom of man, man in his own wisdom condones what Leviticus 18:22 called an abomination, and so we must obey what God commands us to do, is to be intolerant of sin, other verses shows is it is clearly sinful as far as God is concerned to accept what the world loves, and so we must live by our conscience even if it means we brake the laws of the land to do such we have to obey God, even if it means refusing to serve others so that the believer would not be going against what God had said, an example of this is seen in Acts 4:17-20, Act 5:28-29, Acts 5:40-42 this shows us when the authorities tell us to contravene what God has said, we have to obey God, it would better to goto jail than to parish for all eternity in the lake of fire Rev 21:8 in Christ we are to overcome the world.

This what God has said in 1 Corinthians 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

1Cr 3:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

1Cr 3:20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

1Cr 3:21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
